HYDROFUGE: HOW DOES IT WORK?

Hydrofuge is a treatment used to make surfaces water and dirt-repellent. The word comes from the Latin “hydro” (water) and “fugare” (to expel).
A hydrofuge treatment can be used on various materials such as brick, concrete, natural stone and roof tiles to protect them against water infiltration and the damaging effects of moisture.

By applying a hydrofuge agent, the surface is impregnated so that water and other liquids can no longer penetrate the material, but run off as drops.

This helps prevent damage from frost, algae, moss, salt efflorescence and other moisture-related problems. It will extend the life of the treated surface and preserve its appearance.
